South East Suburbs Property
Cape Town's south-eastern suburbs extend from Epping in the west to the False Bay coastline in the east, covering a significant portion of Cape Town’s flatlands.
The type and pricing of housing you’ll find in this region varies enormously, from affordable apartments in townships like Nyanga, Gugulethu and Khayelitsha to spacious family homes with gardens in more affluent neighbourhoods like Athlone and Rondebosch East.
Central location and affordability are the two major advantages of properties in this area, which are within easy commuting distance of Cape Town's CBD.
The South East Suburbs provide ample opportunities for first-time home owners.
Depending on where you buy, properties in this region also offer great investment potential. South Eastern Suburb neighbourhoods like Rondebosch East, Kenwyn, Ottery and Crawford averaged 15% growth in selling price in 2016 – among the highest growth of all Cape Town suburbs.
The area is accessible via a large road network, with the M5, M7, N2 and M17 providing access to the various neighbourhoods in the South East Suburbs.
