I was born in Kimberley and began piano lessons at the age of eight. I matriculated in 2006 at Hoërskool Diamantveld where I received the Christa-Louis van Heerden trophy for best senior music student. In 2007 I began my B.Mus. degree studies at the University of the Free State. It is here where I first started playing organ. At the end of that year I was chosen to become part of the Golden Key Honor Society. I excelled in several arts festivals and in 2009 completed my UNISA Grade 8 organ examination - with distinction. I was invited to participate in the UNISA South African Music Competition and invited to play at the gala concert. In 2010 I obtained my B.Mus. degree (cum laude) and received the Arts Trust Academic Honor Certificate for the best third year student in performing arts. In 2011 I completed my B.Mus.Hons. degree, organ performance (cum laude). I completed both the LTCL and Unisa Licentiate organ examinations with distinction and was invited to participate at the UNISA oversea study bursary competition where again I was invited to perform at the gala concert. In the same year I won the ATKV Musiq Classical Music Competitions' organ category. I again won the same category in 2013. In the same year I completed my M.Mus. degree, organ performance (cum laude). I also obtained the Dean's Medal for the best master's dissertation at the University of the Free State in the Faculty of the Humanities, as well as the Fanie Beetge prize for the best post-graduate music student in the performing arts. I worked at the UFS since 2016. In the late 2018 I relocated to Potchefstroom and with the excitement of dealing with Jawitz Potchefstroom during the relocation, I decided to join the excellent Jawitz team and completely challenge myself in different ways - seeing as I love to work with people.
